Electromagnetic Force Harmonics Compensation Control Strategy of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on Multiple Proportional Resonance Controller

2021
In order to improve the driving comfort of range extender, a 13kW, 6-pole, 36-slot permanent magnet synchronous motor is used as a prototype model to analyze the characteristics of electromagnetic force harmonics and to summarize the regularity of harmonics frequency and orders. Using modal analysis, the nature frequency of the prototype which may causes vibration is obtained. A multiple proportional resonance (PR) controller is proposed, which can compensate the harmonics at a specific frequency, thereby reducing the radial electromagnetic force harmonics generated by the stator armature current, and effectively suppressing the electromagnetic vibration at the natural frequency of the motor.
