A method of manufacturing a shoe sole, and preformed TPU object

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a shoe sole, the method comprising: loading a prefabricated article comprising thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material, into a mold; Loading particles of an expanded thermoplastic polyurethane (eTPU) material into the mold; and joining the particles together and to the preformed TPU object by providing a connecting medium, wherein the material of the preformed TPU article either comprises an additive which increases the viscosity of the material of the preformed TPU article or been heat treated. The invention further relates to the sole and a shoe manufactured, which includes the sole.
