Isothermal viscous incompressible flow in a hydrodynamic model of an electrophoresis chamber

1990
A numerical solution and approximate analysis of the system of Navier-Stokes equations averaged over the transverse coordinate has made it possible to obtain the dependence of the length of the hydrodynamic flow stabilization interval in a thin cell of rectangular cross section on the Reynolds number, the relative thickness of the cell, and the relative size of the inlet opening. The principal and secondary flow regimes are calculated.
