Investigation and Analysis of Leaf Yellowing of Pineapple Plants in the Dry Season

Leaf yellowing is a common problem during the practical production of pineapple.This current research investigated and analyzed the reason of leaf yellowing of pineapple plants during the dry season,as well explore appropriate countermeasures to alleviate leaf yellowing.Studies showed that plant height,D leaf length,D leaf width,leaf number,leaf number above 35 cm of pineapple under drip irrigation is superior to conventional management,respectively.Under drip irrigation,because of high soil moisture,low temperature and shelter,therefore the number of leaf yellowing is less than conventional management.The study concluded that during the dry season,using drip irrigation or fertigation to reduce the pineapple leaf yellowing,ensure to have a fast-growing rate and lay the groundwork for obtaining high yield.
