Effect of adding schungite to the blast-furnace charge on the smelting operation and the smelting products

Positive results obtained at several plants from the use of schungite in pig-iron smelting motivated the MMK to conduct trial heats on its blast furnaces. The use of schungite in short trial heats showed a decrease in coke rate and an increase in furnace productivity.
