Research on the Segmentation of Special Image Element

In this paper the method of segmenting of check box is proposed. The borderlines are found by their characteristic pattern matching and the standard image can be acquired,The row block images can be gained with the vertical projection, and then one dimension cubic B-spline wavelet transform is applied to the projected row block images. So the column block images can be obtained. Finally the check boxes are extracted by their characteristic pattern matching. The experiments show that the proposed algorithm works well.
