Victoria College, Jersey, 1852-1972

1977
Victoria College, Jersey, was established as a public school of English character, on a French-speaking island, and has been affected by the peculiar circumstances of this situation. Despite severe disruption by the German occupation during the Second World War, the College now flourishes as a modern school with over 500 pupils. Taking as its framework the achievements of successive headmasters, the book encompasses every aspect of the life of the school and will be of interest to those concerned with the history of Jersey or of education.
