UNITED KINGDOM DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE WITH EPS

A review of United Kingdom design and construction practice since EPS and XPS were first used for bulk fill is given together with case histories of three different projects. The paper also describes the development of EPS as an integral part of landfill cell construction and as a load bearing fill with venting to disperse ground generated gases beneath buildings.
