Improved Magnetic Force Computation Method Using Parameterized Multi-layer Mesh Techniques
2020
To enhance the numerical accuracy of the magnetic force computed by finite element method (FEM) is highly useful in real-world applications. In this work, a force calculation method by introducing multiple mesh layers surrounding the force object, is further improved by adopting a parameterized mesh technique in order to generate better magnetic force results. The basic idea of the parameterized-multi-layer force calculation method is realized by taking the mean value of the force results, for each mesh layers and also for each layer thickness parameters, in order to make the force insensitive to the mesh and also accurate. For the object whose force is to be computed, by introducing parameterized layered objects around it, the additional overhead of preparing the meshes for different parameters is almost totally saved by using the parameterized mesh method. Numerical validations are presented to demonstrate the accuracy of this proposed method and the accuracy of this method is found to be improved to a great extent.
