O OLHAR E AS PRÁTICAS DOS GESTORES INDUSTRIAIS SOBRE O PATRIMÔNIO AMBIENTAL EM JOINVILLE/SC

The study presented here aims to contribute to the discussion about the knowledge that underlies the work of professionals who work in the management of environmental patrimony in the industry. It can be said that environmental problems are consequences of the specific way of life of industrialized societies and the conception of the world that sustain them. The discussion about the management of the environmental patrimony will provoke the analysis of the model of society in which we live and the discussion about the guiding knowledge for the management of this patrimony in the environmental sphere. The research methodology adopted is qualitative in nature. Twenty-six professionals working in environmental management programs of six industries, certified by ISO 14001, in Joinville-SC, participated in the study. The results of the study point to a set of knowledge that requires the apprehension of reality in an interdisciplinary way, resulting from non-linear, non-deterministic processes, demanded by the need for a sustainable world.
