2018
Forensic Anthropology is the expert branch in which there is the application of the knowledge of physical Anthropology to the medicolegal context. When the material to be examined involves carbonized bodies (CB), forensic anthropological knowledge will be essential in this analysis. The autopsy in CB present great technical difficulties, since the destruction of parts of the body can disturb the anthropological analysis, as well as the identification of the deceased. In this paper, two cases of victims of automobile collisions involving the main technical aspects of the autopsy of CB are presented, with emphasis on the integration between forensic medicine and fingerprint knowledge. In the reports, the anthropological analysis was able to determine the sexes and estimate the ages. In one of them, the cause of death remained undetermined and in the other, it was established as blunt polytrauma. The right hands had flexed fingers, which partially preserved their respective digital pulps the thermal action. In addition, the techniques used in the preparation of the manual epidermal gloves allowed to obtain adequate revealed fingerprints, which when compared with standard prints identified both bodies. The two cases highlight the importance of the integrated work between several areas of knowledge for the CB forensic analysis and its identification.
