Development and road tests of an ABS control system

Dedicated respectfully to the memory of Enrico Suraci In this paper is described the complete developement of a prototype ABS system, from the early phases of the Specification and Design, until the Road Tests. The Design of the ABS algorithms have been done in Matlab/SimulinkTM and tested by Software In the Loop (SIL) co-simulation in Matlab/SimulinkTM environment, too. For the Road tests a Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) environment has been designed and developed. Some meaningful results of the Road tests are shown.
