Ecomuseo della Via Appia: un progetto di sviluppo sostenibile per la piana di Brindisi

2020
The Ecomuseo della Via Appia (EVA) derives from the Parco dei Messapi of Muro Tenente with the aim of bringing together the Municipalities, by which the Via Appia Antica passes, towards a sustainable development project inspired by the European Landscape Convention and the Faro Convention. The Archaeological Park of Muro Tenente is managed by a technical scientific Committee composed by the Superintendence A.B.A.P. for provinces of Brindisi, Lecce e Taranto, the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the University of Salento and the Municipalities of Mesagne and Latiano. The Ecomuseo della Via Appia is increasingly taking on the features of a 'metaluogo', an ideal space for experimentation, meeting and aggregation. So, starting from a simple ecomuseum laboratory, EVA is becoming a project to aggregate the social, cultural and environmental capital of the district, putting actors, resources and skills in the network.
