A 20 Gb/s 2:1 data selector

1994
A 20 Gb/s 2:1 data selector IC has been fabricated and tested. Data selectors are the key component in high speed and optical communication systems such as SONET/SDH. Here they double the output data rate by alternately switching between two slower half-rate sources. They are also the key component in test equipment for these communication systems and other high speed digital circuits. The 20-80% output rise and fall times are less than 26 ps. The minimum output swing is 400 mV on each of the differential outputs. >
