This trend is increasing due to the development of driverless systems and the necessity to increase the capacity of the lines and the quality of service in general. One can consi- der three main applications: critical applications related to control and command, non-critical applications related to operation of trains and non-critical applications for comfort. This paper proposes a synthetic view of the main existing applications and technologies for telecommunication in the public transport domain. The perspectives and some on-going research projects are also highlighted. ABSTRACT Figure 1 : Eurobalise – Source : Signon. REE N°4/2014 61 Le vehicule connecte dans les transports publics : technol
