An Overview of Intelligent Transportation System Communication Technology

This study is to review telecommunication technology and standards for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) communication networks. The needs, requirements and associated standards to deploy the ITS communication networks are reviewed and identified. In addition, current developments for ITS communication networks and future trends for ITS communications are discussed.
