TEST-CASE NO 26: DROPLET IMPACT ON HOT WALLS (PA)

2004
DER/SSTH/LMDL, CEA/Grenoble, 38054 Grenoble Cedex 9, FranceAbstract. A generator shoots droplets onto a heated plate inclined withrespect to the trajectory of the droplets. The droplets rebound and evapo-rate. Given the physical properties of the liquid, the velocity, the diameterand the temperature of the impacting droplet, as well as the inclination andthe temperature of the plate, the numerical simulation should predict thediameter and the surface temperature of the droplet after rebound.
