The ways of increasing the accuracy and speed of a modern instrumentation system of the stabilizer, which can be used to stabilize the armament of light armored machinery in extreme conditions, are considered. An analytical review of literature and patent databases in the field of construction of stabilization systems was conducted. The main components of the armament stabilization system are identified. It was established that the stabilization system provides the constancy of the angles between the axes of a fixed coordinate system and the axes rigidly connected with the object of stabilization. The analysis of expediency of use of gyroscopes as sensitive elements of the stabilization complex is carried out and the principle of their work is mathematically described. In stabilizer designs, stabilizing moments (proportional to the values of control signals) are generated by electromechanical or electrohydraulic actuators. It has been established that moments of gyroscopic reaction of gyroscopes installed on a platform may be related to stabilizing moments, except for the moments of the actuators or other actuators which need to be taken into account in determining the accuracy of the stabilizer. Stabilization systems in which stabilizing moments are created only by actuators or other actuators, and the gyroscopic gyroscope's moments are not used to directly compensate for the disturbing moments of the platform, will be called indirect stabilization systems. The functional diagram of the simplest indicator armature stabilizer is presented and analyzed, and the sequence of execution of basic operations in it is described. The application of parametric and structural optimization methods, which will increase the accuracy and efficiency of the sensitive element at the design stage, is proposed.
