Los efectos del terremoto de lisboa de 1755 en el hospital de Tavera, Toledo (España)

The 1755 Lisbon Earthquake was the most destructive earthquake in the Europe history. This earthquake affected the entire Iberian Peninsula. The intensity of this earthquake was X (EMS 1998) and damaged the historical heritage of Spain. No damages were reported in historical documents inside of Toledo, but the Hospital of Tavera is located outside of the defensive wall of this city. The damages in this building are classified in this paper using the classification of Earthquake Archaeological Effects (EAE), in order to study the strain structures and the seismic wave orientation.
