Computer animation: a personal view

1989
Animation is a universal language and has already become part of our cultural tradition. It is a technique exploited by industry, government and education to inform, persuade and entertain. It is a versatile technique which allows the image maker to go beyond reality, to extrapolate an idea into the absurd, into fantasy or the unknown. We see space rockets entering uncharted areas of space, or a scenario where a character, run down by a steam roller, gets up and walks away although flattened like a piece of card.
