The Comparative Analysis of Position-Aware and Optimized-Link State Protocols in Crossbreed Mesh Network

2021
WMN plays a vital role in wireless communication networks and secure data transmission. WMN types accept self-organized, self-configuration and self-healing features. It permits robust deployment, minimum cost, easy maintenance, reliable facilities and high-scalability along with attractive network facility, connectivity and flexibility. The large limitation that WMN is facing is the security from attacks. In the research work, the calculation is concerned for DDoS and wormhole (WH) attack in the network. This attack is the prime attacks that provide rise to important treats due to its nature of not being easy to detect and prevent. The comparative result evaluation that the impact of the WH and DDoS attacks can affect several metrics of the WMN as throughput rate, packet delivery rate, delay, energy, overhead and packet loss in the network communication. This research work, performance calculation defines PDR value is 95% using the OSOLSR novel technique with no-attack, as attack cases the PDR decreases such as WH value is 70% and DDoS attack PDR value is 60%, throughput with and without attack value is 54 and 81%. From the outcomes, it is measured that the new method provided promising results. It compared the performance metrics such as PDR, E2D, throughput rate with the existing method in PASER routing protocol.
