Study on insertion spacing of inline active gain slope controller for transoceanic WDM systems

1999
We have studied the effect of insertion spacing of inline active gain slope controllers in transoceanic wavelength-division multiplexing systems using a 3500-km-long circulating loop. We found that 1000-km insertion spacing is sufficient for 10000-km transmission systems.
