Group Gradings and Recovery Results for Generalized Incidence Rings

Abstract We investigate the structure of incidence rings in situations where the underlying set is not necessarily preordered. We then modify the techniques used by Haack in his study of incidence rings of partially ordered sets to obtain a recovery result in this more general setting. Finally, we use these ideas to investigate a recovery question for group-graded rings.
