Discrimination analysis is a common statistical method in the geological exploration field.Normally we i-dentify the properties of unknown geological object by mul-tivariate discrimination function.Now we take an example to introduce the application of the SAS statistical software in the geochemical prospecting field.There are several proper-ties of it such as high practical application,good functions,easy to be mastered and learned.
