Research on Optimization Method of Distributed Energy Storage Cluster for Power Grid Peak Shaving

2020
With the maturity of power demand side management, the energy storage industry has developed rapidly and gradually applied to different business scenarios. Generalized energy storage is no longer limited to actual energy storage resource types, but covers more types of virtual energy storage resources such as temperature-controlled loads and electric vehicles. The new round of electricity reform allows distributed energy storage to be aggregated and managed to participate in the grid peaking effectively. In the new energy power system, electric energy sources are dispersed, and distributed energy storage is also required to coordinate the orderly charge and discharge to absorb the residual. Also, it can reduce the cost of electricity used by users and make up for the intermittent and randomness of new energy power generation. This paper proposes an optimization method of distributed energy storage clusters to meet the needs of a typical business scenario of power grid peak-shifting. It aims to rapidly reduce user load, ensure the balance of power grid supply and demand, and consider the constraints of user satisfaction and need.
