The present invention discloses a power control system for a hybrid vehicle, comprising detecting means (11) and control means (12), said detecting means (11) for detecting failure information of the vehicle powertrain system; wherein the control means ( 12) the power system is provided with at least one member fault information output power control command to the other power components, so that the normal operation of the vehicle coordinate processing module (121); connecting the input terminal of said collaboration processing module (121) detecting means (11) having an output terminal connected to the power system. The power control system considering the effect of each power failure on other members may cause the power unit, and by controlling the operating state of other components, to achieve the coordination between the various power control components, normal operation of the power system in case of failure . The present invention also provides a control method of a power corresponding to the power control system, with the same effect.
