Production performance and carcass characteristics of Taihang wild boarss from different hybrid combinations.

The F1 Taihang wild boars from different hybrid combination of Duroc pig Taihang wild boar,Large white pig Taihang wild boar,Landrace pig Taihang wild boar and Taihu pig Taihang wild boar were slaughtered to study their carcass characteristics for provide a reference to develop and utilize resource of wild boar.The results showed that the average daily gain,feed/gain ratio,carcass weight,dressing rate,hind leg rate,eye muscle area,average flesh thickness and lean rate of the F1 Taihang wild boars were 478.6～706.9g,3.35～4.18,50.0～85.2kg,64.3%～73.7%,33.1%～42.4%,30.17～39.50cm2,2.78～3.49cm and 49.6%～55.4% separately.The better production performance,higher feed utilization efficienly and good carcass characters of F1 generation can be obtained from the combination between common pig × Taihang wild boar.
