Echo Modeling and simulation of missile-borne radar altimeter under spin state

2021
To solve the problem of the missile-borne radar echo model involving polar coordinate transformation, complicated form and large calculation, a new missile-borne radar spin motion model is proposed. Based on the motion model, the grid image method was used to divide the radar irradiation area. The radar echo model was established by the method of echo power superposition, and the motion model accuracy was verified by simulation results. Simulation results show that the altitude measurement is inaccurate when the oblique irradiation angle exceeds 23° in the spin state of the missile-borne radar, the Doppler spectrum distribution remains unchanged at different heights, and the falling echo power of the missile will increase, which provides theoretical support for the follow-up missile-borne radar echo simulation research.
