Photoacosutic Spectral Study of Solid Erbium Complexes with Amino Acids

The crystals of complexes Er(Gly)3Cl3·3H2O,Er(Ala)3Cl3·3H2O and Er(Gly)3Phen·3H2O have been synthesized At the room temperature, their photoacoustic (PA) spectra in the region of 300~800nm are recorded Their PA and absorption spectra are interpreted The PA relative intensities represented by intensity branching vectors and the perturbation of ligands on the energy levels of Er3+ are discussed The fluorescence properties of Er(Ala)3Cl3·3H2O and the relaxation process model are also studied based on the PA and absorption spectra.
