Photoacosutic Spectral Study of Solid Erbium Complexes with Amino Acids

The crystals of complexes Er(Gly)3Cl3·3H2O,Er(Ala)3Cl3·3H2O and Er(Gly)3Phen·3H2O have been synthesized At the room temperature, their photoacoustic (PA) spectra in the region of 300~800nm are recorded Their PA and absorption spectra are interpreted The PA relative intensities represented by intensity branching vectors and the perturbation of ligands on the energy levels of Er3+ are discussed The fluorescence properties of Er(Ala)3Cl3·3H2O and the relaxation process model are also studied based on the PA and absorption spectra.
