Improve the Resolution of Medical Image Using POCS Algorithm

When we obtain some static low resolution (LR) medical images, the dimension of these images can not satisfy the requirement in some degree, we need to improve the quality of LR image. Firstly, we establish an imaging model, and identify the availability of this model for POCS algorithm, then we use POCS algorithm to reconstruct two high resolution images form 25 low resolution MRI and blood samples individually, in order to compare the ultimate performance of POCS algorithm with other classical interpolation algorithms, we analyze the quality differences of reconstruction images of POCS algorithm and interpolation algorithms, the results reveal that our method can obtain a higher contrast ratio and retain more details than that of the interpolation methods for high resolution image.
