Synthesis and electroluminescence of novel white fluorescence quantum dots based on Zn-Ga-S host

White-light-emitting Ag, Mn: Zn-Ga-S/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) with gratifying photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (QY) of up to 90% were prepared and the as-synthesized QDs were proven to be ultra-stable, maintaining high PL intensity at 300 oC or 32 h illumination. The Ag, Mn: Zn-Ga-S/ZnS QDs were employed in a white QD-LED with a color rendering indices (CRI) of 72, and the maximum current efficiency of 0.22 cd A-1.
