An improved weight stochastic model in GPS Precise Point Positioning

The determination of a stochastic model in GPS Precise Point Positioning plays a significant role. In this paper, a combined stochastic model based on satellite elevation angle and carrier-to-noise-power density ratio was proposed. The specific model was constructed with a good understanding of correlations between observations and regular stochastic models. The accuracy and convergence time of PPP using different stochastic models with the same observations are tested. Results show that the accuracy of the new model is significantly improved about 27.6% compared with the traditional models. Convergence time is slightly improved when achieving accuracy of the cm level. While it refers to dm level accuracy, the model can save about 22.2% of the time.
