Analysis of DFB semiconductor lasers with external optical feedback

A theoretical analysis of the sensitivity of DFB semiconductor lasers to external optical feedback is presented. Numerical simulations allow the authors to determine the optimum facet reflectivity, for a given kappa L value, to minimise the sensitivity to external optical feedback. >
