Multispectral video

2000
This paper describes a new approach to compressing temporal sequences of multispectral images by encoding and presenting them as multispectral video. The compression methods under study include motion compensation and principal component analysis. Motion compensation is utilized to reduce repeated information between consecutive pictures in a sequence. Using the principal component analysis, an attempt is made to retain only necessary parts of the information in a picture.
