Precoat filtration with organic filter aids

Filter aids for precoat filtration can be produced from a wide variety of raw materials. Important quality criteria are consistent product quality, sufficient clarity, high retention capability, high flow rate, problem-free handling and environmentally friendly disposal as well as physiological safety. This article describes a range of filter aids and their applications, and discusses a new organic alternative to the mineral-based filter aid.
