Interleaved Paralleled Two-switch Buck-boost Converter for Photovoltaic Application

The two-switch buck-boost converter has many advantages such as step-up and step-down functions, having the same input and output polarity, fewer passive components, and lower voltage stress of switching devices. So, it is suitable for photovoltaic applications to achieve a wide range of voltage conversion. For this reason, this paper analyses the circuit topology and deduces the two-mode control for the two-switch buck-boost converter. Then introduces the interleaved control strategy to achieve lower output voltage and current ripple and get better performance. Finally, the simulation result by using Simulink verifies the correctness of the proposed theory.
