Modelación de la distribución potencial de Pinus tropicalis en el occidente de Cuba

espanolEl objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar la distribucion potencial de los pinares naturales de Pinus tropicalis sobre la base de las condiciones climaticas actuales. Se georeferenciaron 1346 rodales naturales junto con 19 variables bioclimaticas para la modelacion con el MaxEnt (Maxima Entropia) generando el mapa de probabilidades de mejores habitats. Las variables que contribuyeron mas al modelo fueron el cambio estacional de las precipitaciones con lluvias entre 243- 792.0mm y un regimen anual en la temperatura minima en el periodo mas frio, 18.3oC-23.1oC. Las areas con altas probabilidades que representaron los mejores habitats son: Alturas de Pizarras en los municipios Mantua, Guane, Minas de Matahambres, San Juan y Martinez y Vinales. EnglishThe aim of the study was to determine the potential distribution of natural pine forest of Pinus tropicalis according to the current climatic conditions. We georeferenced 1346 natural stand along with 19 bioclimatic variable to modeling under MaxEnt (Maximum Entropy) generating a probabilities map of suitable habitats. The better contributors' variables were the changes in the seasonal precipitation from 243-792mm and the annual regimen of minimum temperature of the coolest period 18.3oC-23.1oC. The areas with the higher probabilities that represented the suitable habitats were: Alturas de Pizarras in Mantua municipality, Guane, Minas de Matahambres, San Juan y Martinez y Vinales
