Techniques of generating on-line data for power system control data bases - The GOLD programs

1989
The process of data generation for a database normally requires preparation of the data according to the specifications of the features configured in a computer-based system. The database used in a computerized energy control center (ECC) system to monitor and control a power network is an example. At some of these centers, the online data are prepared and entered manually into the database. The author presents the Generating On-Line Data (GOLD) programs, which can replace the laborious phases of data generation. These programs provide a simple and convenient facility in which to generate the complete online data set, without touching the details of data construction. This means that the specifications set for the data configuration in a particular network will be accomplished by its GOLD program. >
