Path to commercialization

Abstract This chapter describes the market conditions and the role that energy storage can play in filling various market needs. This chapter also covers economic considerations and how to quantify the financial benefits. Then the chapter discusses technology considerations that effect the commercialization of an ESS. Finally, the chapter combines these topics together into a dispatch model that can be used to show the economic benefit of an ESS, with examples.
