Effcct of hydrogen in interface of graphitc/metal matrix on brittleness of medium silicon heat-resistant nodular cast iron

2000
The had done conrtast experiments between the specimen which was electrolyaed and filled with hydrogen and specimen which was during foundry, show that medium silicon heat resistant nodular cast iron can solute the number of hydrogen which enriches in the interface of graphitic/ metal matrix, therefore, decreases the binding energy of interface, and leads to brittle crackle. The tensile fracture surface has obviously character istic of hydrogen brittle. The results show that crackle root of medium silicon heat resistant nodular cast iron is the interface of graphtec/metal matrix.
