A method of separating objects comprising trapping a plurality of objects (104) using a plurality of optical traps (103, 400, 305) generated by an apparatus of optical trapping (100, 500) having a laser to produce conditions optical gradient forming said plurality of optical traps (103, 400, 305); examining each of the trapped objects using identification criteria predetermined in each of the trapped objects (104) to determine its identity, said identification criteria predetermined including chemical identity or brand reaction, binding or fluorescence objects spectroscopy inelastic, or a size of internal structures of objects, as a result obtained backscatter polarized light; separating the identified objects (104) in accordance with said predetermined criteria identification; and damage or destroy the identified objects (104) using a laser, when said identified objects (104) meets these criteria predetermined identification.
