Stirring friction welding method of copper-nickel alloy

2016
The invention provides a stirring friction welding method of a copper-nickel alloy. The method comprises the steps of fixing copper-nickel alloy members, adjusting stirring friction welding parameters and carrying out welding. In the welding process of the copper-nickel alloy members through a stirring head, a cooling water atomizing and spraying mechanism arranged on a stirring head fixing part sprays water mist into weld joints to cool the weld joints synchronously; a space included angle between the spraying direction of the cooling water atomizing and spraying mechanism and a stirring head spindle in a plane perpendicular to the weld joints ranges from 30 degrees to 60 degrees, and the distance from the center of a spraying opening of the cooling water atomizing and spraying mechanism to the center line of the stirring head ranges from 100 mm to 400 mm; the distance from the center of a spraying opening to the horizontal plane where the weld joints are located ranges from 100 mm to 200 mm; in the water mist forming process, water pressure is 1-5 MPa, and gas pressure is 1-5 MPa; and after welding is finished, the two copper-nickel alloy members are cooled to the room temperature, and then a fixing device is loosened. By the adoption of the method, the copper-nickel alloy members can be welded efficiently, and the welding quality is high.
