A methodology for estimating execution times of IO traces in SSDs: student research abstract

2016
Solid-state drives (SSDs) have been spotlighted as a new storage device that replaces hard-disk drives (HDDs). Because SSD is operated only by electronic chips while HDD is operated by magnetic moving parts, they have two strong points as follows [1]: Compared to HDD, SSD provides higher bandwidth, lower latency, and longer life time.
