Effect of Naphthalene Acetic Acid on the Growth of the Root and Bud in Cherry Tomato

2009
The Cherry fruit was adopted as material to study the effects of factors such as the naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) with different concentration on the germination of cherry fruit and the growth of root and bud. The results showed that, the NAA with different concentration had different effects on the growth of root and bud. Among the results, the concentration from 0.001 mg/L to 10 mg/L had the restraining effect on the stretching of cherry root. The NAA of 0.000 1-0.1 mg/L would increase the weight of the cherry root. Moreover, the stetching of young stem, stem quality and cotyledon growth were all inhibited by NAA. 0.000 1 mg/L was the only concentration of NAA which would promote positive effects on the stretching and weight of the seedlings simultaneously.
