Device for an active matrix OLED display comprising a substrate (1), an anode (9, 10), organic emitter material (11), a cathode (12, 13), components (7, 17, 18) for active control and at least one solar cell (2, 14, 15, 16), wherein the anode (9, 10), the organic emitting material (11), the cathode (12, 13), the components (7, 17, 18) for active control and the solar cell (2, 14, 15, 16) on the same substrate (1) are arranged, characterized in that the solar cell (2, 14, 15, 16) is arranged only in the areas next to the organic emitter material (11) ,
