Sport Subject Development Constraints and Strategies in Comprehensive Universities

Subject construction is critical to the creative development of a university,which determines whether a university can realize its basic functions such as education,serving society and academic research. The development of sports subjects in Chinese university has lagged behind the development and the needs of the society. This paper uses the methods of literature review,data analysis and case study to find out the major constraints of the sport subject construction and provides useful strategies that hopefully can contribute to the long- term development of sports subject in China.
