Análise dos currículos de formação em educação física para atuação no setor saúde: subsídios para a (re)orientação dos cursos de graduação
2018
The present study intends to analyze the curricular components of undergraduate
courses in Physical Education in the state of Pernambuco, in order to identify the
frequency of disciplines and stages geared to the preparation to work in public health
services. This is a descriptive documentary analysis, which used a quantitative
approach to identify the training profiles of courses in this area. The data were
collected on the website of the Ministry of Education, which aggregates information
about undergraduate courses in all areas of knowledge. Twelve undergraduate and
seven undergraduate courses were selected that met the inclusion criteria, and then
the respective Pedagogical Projects were analyzed. The predominance of the
disciplines related to collective health was verified in 75% in the baccalaureate
courses and 25% in the undergraduate courses. It was also observed that the latter
do not offer internship subjects related to the collective health field or in public health
services. In this context, even with the regulation of the Physical Education
Professional in the public health sector, the operationalization of health actions
through public policies, to the detriment of the initial training of these professionals,
does not seem to be in agreement with the great potential that they may have .
