A Novel Method to Design Chaotic S-Box for Wireless Sensor Network

A chaotic strong S-Box (substitution box), for wireless sensor network (WSN), based on Ikeda map and permutations of the input values of the S- Box is presented in this paper. The different criteria such as objectivity, strict avalanche criteria (SAC), non-linearity criteria, output bits independence and equiprobable input/output XOR distribution of our S-box are analyzed. Also, we evaluated the proposed method of S-box generation in terms of algorithmic complexity and independency measure ratio. The results of tests show that our proposed S-box strong, have a good cryptographic proprieties and useful for WSN. Comparisons and discussions with other proposed S-box are presented in this paper.
