MnO1.88/R-MnO2/Ti3C2(OH/F)x Composite Electrode for High-Performance Pseudo-Supercapacitor Prepared from Reduced MXene

2020
MnO1.88/MnO2/Ti3C2Tx composites on Ti3C2Tx (MXene) were synthesized for potential applications as supercapacitor electrodes. The composite with cotton candy-like morphology was formed on nanometer-sized Ti3C2Tx flakes redox reaction using KMnO4 at room temperature, where Ti3C2Tx acts as a molecular template and reducing agent. The MnO1.88/MnO2/Ti3C2Tx with high specific capacity 312 F g-1 at 1 A g-1, and the capacity retention of over 91% after 5000 charge-discharge cycles. As such, the facile way prepared MnO1.88/MnO2/Ti3C2Tx composite formation promotes highly specific pseudo-capacitance of MXene has emerged as highly promising electrode materials.
