Re-imagining Assessment: Assessing Design Thinking Within Makerspaces

This chapter focuses on assessment of design thinking and thinking of assessment as design within the context of learning through making. The Makerspace Assessment Framework (Lock, Becker, & Redmond, 2018) provides a scaffold to support teachers in identifying and assessing the transversal skills utilized when students are engaged in learning through designing and making.
